Pi Boy is amazing. I got a the version without pi so it was a little tricky installing everything. Not bad though. Booted right up, configured controls, set volume output through headphone jack and upped the volume. Speakers lack bass but this is expected. Headphones work fine. Screen is nice: uses GPIO for power and HDMI pass thru for video so no drivers needed. Just a small note: If you are playing on battery and plug in power the system will reboot. Same with unplugging power, system rebooted when switching over. Just make sure you do a shutdown before any power transitions to avoid corrupt SD card. Other than that.. Awesome.
It comes perfect, now it's just a taste. Customs stopped the package and charged taxes. As soon as i mount it and try it i upload more pictures.
I am happy with my purchase however. Some warnings.The arcade/ mame/ neo geo emulation is worth the price alone. However I got my emulator with cracks on the face panel. Seems the colder weather has done a number on the cheaper plastic frame that are on these. I am using some super glue to hold the face plate together. The LCD was tilted toward one side. I had to take face plate off and reposition the LCD in order to correct the issue myself. Battery only charges to 3 bars. 4 bars quickly goes to 3 after using it. Realsitically battery only lasts 3-4 hours at the most.HDMI out does not work with any TVs 720p or 1080p or PC screens I have at home. The options menu to toggle the controls needs adjusting and is not configured correct for some games. Impossible to see the options menu at all on the tiny screen. Will have to figure out a way to see the wording. Magifying glass perhaps.

I love this thing! Exactly what I expected, feels very solid and definitely the best option out there for a fully fledged, portable retro gaming device. Battery life seems good, thanks to the seller for upgrading the battery since the date I first ages this to my wishlist; a nice touch that shows the sellers integrity. Minor blemishes to the plastic, but nothing that would bother me. Finally, quite fiddly to install the raspberry pi, maybe buy with pi included if you don't already have one. Great purchase! A+
I have to try it further but the biggest flaw i see is the absence of a standard cross, it would be greatly appreciated, and i have doubts about battery autonomy as it seems to be spending quite a bit. Then according to the tab the screen is touch although in this distribution it is worthless and scary that the screen is not protected, besides, in my case it was a little scratched. The theme is very nice and elegant and although it brings 15.000 games echo many missing and some systems like gb don't bring anything from the original model. I'll put them on my own. The scan is pretty complete. The sound sizzles and i didn't know how to fix it because i 've changed between the different options and it's still the same. Otherwise i like it and be prepared because the safest thing as i do is to stop you in customs and touch you pay the fees, something we're not used to buying here. And i wouldn't be more of a little more information on the tab or putting together the console some instructions
